For any given part you have three options. The choice depends on how critical it is, your budget and availability.

Original (OEM)

Maximum guarantee of fit and durability. Recommended for critical parts and engines under warranty.

Aftermarket

Specialist manufacturers with good value for money. For consumables and non-critical parts it can be the smart choice.

Reconditioned
